COACH HOLIDAYS TO THE GIANTS CAUSEWAY

A selection of escorted tours and holidays to the Giant's Causeway by coach

Join us on a coach holiday along the scenic Antrim coast to Northern Ireland's most iconic natural landmarks, UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Giant’s Causeway. This geological marvel, with its unique hexagonal basalt columns, forms an otherworldly landscape, it’s no wonder that it’s Northern Ireland’s most popular tourist destination and the perfect choice for a coach trip.

The Causeway consists of approximately 40,000 interlocking columns, with the tallest reaching up to 12 metres (39 feet) leaving you in awe of nature's wonders. It is also home to diverse arrays of flora and fauna, including rare plant species, seabirds, and seals, for lucky visitors dolphins, porpoises and basking sharks have been spotted.

Enjoy this natural wonder by walking along the Causeway Path, which highlights the spectacular structures and provides mesmerising views of the surrounding shoreline. The route features interactive exhibits and displays that explain the area's geology and history, enriching the experience. If you don’t fancy the walk, there is a public bus that runs from the visitor centre to the cliffs, the price is £1 each way.

The Giant’s Causeway is steeped in myths and legend, one popular story tells of an Irish giant (Finn McCool) building the causeway to challenge the Scottish giant (Benandonner) to a fight, only to retreat when scared of his size, on Finn’s return his wife cleverly disguised him as a baby, so when Benandonner saw the size of the "baby," he assumed that the father, Finn, must be enormous and fled back to Scotland, destroying the causeway behind him.
