Eastbourne is a holiday favourite. You can visit Beachy Head, with glorious views from atop the dramatic cliffs, overlooking the famous red and white striped lighthouse and out across Eastbourne and towards the English Channel. A great place for a walk, it has an accessible ‘Peace Path’ you can take right to the top - and we hear there’s a traditional pub nearby too!

Eastbourne BandstandEastbourne Bandstand

Built in the 1930s Eastbourne’s bandstand hosts more events than any other in England, from 1812 firework concerts and a variety of music events to children’s entertainment.

Miniature Steam Railway

All the trains are one eighth the size of their full size locomotives, but you can still enjoy a ride for nearly a mile around the lovely country park. You can also meander around the five acre lake, full of wildlife.

Eastbourne Airshow

Celebrating 25 years, this fine airshow will be displaying some of the best planes in aviation. Between the 17th & 20th August, Airbourne will attract huge crowds to watch the very best in military and civilian aviation including the Red Arrows, Typhoon and a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

The largest composite marina complex in northern Europe is home to the Waterfront retail and restaurant development.
Here you'll find a whole plethora of boutique shops, high street names, a cinema, galleries and a range of restaurants serving a variety of cuisines.

Royal Hippodrome Theatre 

Over 130 years old, this hippodrome has a plethora of shows throughout the year. From tribute acts such as Whitney Houston, Frank Sinatra, Simon & Garfunkel, and many more, it is also home to theatre productions and variety shows.

There's lots to keep you entertained at the winter gardens including tea dances, comedy clubs and even an annual beer festival!

Redoubt Fortress

Built to keep Napolean's armies out of Britain, the fortress is one of the south coast’s most historic landmarks. With 200 years of history, guarding the coast of Eastbourne, it's a unique location worth visiting.




If you do enjoy a stroll, there’s a short, easy walk around the historic heart of Eastbourne’s Old Town called ‘Motcombe Meander’. It takes you by many listed buildings, old relics, a 12th century church, 18th century cottage, a war memorial and so much more.

Pay visit to Eastbourne's Heritage Centre, and discover how the town developed into a stylish Victorian seaside resort. With plenty to learn, you can see original town plans, artefacts, displays about the pier and so much more!

There's also Stone Cross Windmill; built in 1875/6, it was in full operation up until the 1930's. It has been restored and preserved by the Stone Cross Mill Trust, and is now fully working and producing stone ground wholemeal flour for sale in the Mill and local outlets.
