Scarborough Beach

The Scarborough coastline is divided into two beautiful beach bays that are connected to the town's old Victorian buildings to the north and south, alongside stunning views. 

When the tide is out from the harbour you’ll find lots of rock pools, and look out for crabs, fish and even lobsters!

In addition to the beach and the sea, there are excellent restaurants, cafes, and spots to people-watch from, then stroll down the promenade, and discover the statue of Freddie Gilroy.
Peasholm Park

Peasholm Park is a magnificent oasis of tranquillity and natural beauty that offers visitors an unforgettable experience alongside a diverse array of flora and fauna.

The Japanese-style pagoda is the centrepiece of Peasholm Park, located on an island in a lake in the middle of the park, here visitors can climb the five tiers for breath-taking panoramic views of the lake, park and surrounding coastline.

Whitby
Whitby

Whitby is a lovely fishing village and resorts all in one. Quietness and tranquillity dominate with a fishing harbour right out of the distant past. It's a stunning setting to simply take it all in and live life to the fullest. 

There's a lot to see, including the winding alleyways and 199 steps to the stunning Gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey, connections to Bram Stoker's Dracula, and the location where Captain Cook learnt to sail.

The village is named after the legendary outlaw Robin Hood, who is said to have hidden out in the surrounding woodland. 

Here you’ll find a charming labyrinth of narrow, cobbled streets lined with quaint cottages, independent shops, and cosy pubs. 

At low tide walk down from the village and access the beach, which is rocky in parts, sandy in others, with a lot of shells, seaweed and small pools to explore it’s also the perfect spot for searching for fossils!
