Toiletries – the bare essentials you need to pack are simply soap/shampoo, deodorant and the hair product you use to style your hair. To save space, stores such as Boots or Superdrug sell miniature cans of deodorant and shampoo and conditioner, so it's worth grabbing some for your toiletries bag. Gents, if you like a cleanly shaven face, don’t forget a razor, but make sure it’s packed away safely. Do not travel with a full blade as if you’re flying it will probably be confiscated!

Clothing – this will vary depending on the type of trip, the destination, the time of year and your style! Obviousy, you’ll need an outfit for each day of your holiday. Outfit layering can really help you save space in your suitcase. Pairing a jacket or cardigan that can be worn with multiple outfits is the ultimate space saver and you’ll look great at the same time! Don’t forget to pack plenty of underwear and socks! If you’re heading off on a rambling holiday, you’ll need good, sturdy walking boots or at least a supportive pair of trainers. If you’re heading out on a coach holiday in the UK, you should know by now you can’t rely on the great British weather, so a waterproof is a must have. You can buy ones that fold neatly into a little bag so aren’t a hassle to take with you.

Electronics – if you have a mobile phone, tablet or e-reader, don’t forget to pack the charger. There’s nothing worse than wanting to get lost in that great e-book and the low battery beep warns you of the devices imminent loss of power. Your coach journey may be a few hours long so having a device to keep you busy is a nice distraction when you’re not taking in the scenery.

Money – if you’re staying in the UK, carry whatever you normally would in your purse or wallet, however, when travelling abroad, you should try to take a mix of cash, traveller’s cheques and card. Never keep all of your payment methods in one wallet or bag, as if it’s lost or stolen, you will have no back-up funds.

Passport & Visa – these are only required if travelling outside of the UK, but are a must have. You won’t get very far without them. Pack them in your hand luggage so they’re easy to find when you need it.

Insurance Policy – we insist that every Grand UK Holiday guest has their own insurance to keep everyone protected should anything happen. Your safety and security is paramount to us! Bring your insurance details with you just in case.
