Your Itinerary
SUNDAY: Our door to door service collects you from home and transfer you to your tour coach. We then proceed north to our overnight stop.
MONDAY: Heading into Scotland we first stop at Gretna Green, Scotland’s famous runaway marriage centre before continuing on to our hotel in Irvine.
TUESDAY: To Ardrossan this morning to catch the morning sailing to the Isle of Arran – nicknamed ‘Scotland in Miniature’. We take a circular tour of the island, passing idyllic coves and beaches in the south and mini-Highland peaks of granite in the north before we make our way to Brodick Castle & Gardens, a classic Victorian Highland estate.
WEDNESDAY: A second island tour today as we cross the Firth of Clyde to the beautiful Isle of Bute. Arriving in Rothesay we make our way to Mount Stuart House, a 19th century house and estate with spectacular landscapes and interior rooms. From here we take a drive of the island where tranquil inlets and enchanting hamlets dot the island together with remarkable views across the Sound of Bute and towards Argyll.
THURSDAY: This morning we make our way along the Ayrshire Coast to Culzean Castle. Designed by Robert Adam, this clifftop masterpiece was once the home of the David Kennedy, the 10th Earl of Cassillis who was renowned for his keenness to demonstrate his wealth. The castle, towering above the woods and beach epitomised his flamboyance. We return via Troon, known for its famous golf links but also an attractive harbour town.
FRIDAY: We leave Irvine this morning and tour through the heart of the heathlands of Dumfries and Galloway to reach the county town of Dumfries. Here we enjoy some free time before continuing our journey to our overnight hotel.
SATURDAY: We continue our return journey, concluding with our door to door service back to your home.
